Mad Dog Café... on the Blackstone
The outdoor deck is always open if it is a decent day!

Mad Dog Café
on the Blackstone… is a café where friends and neighbors may gather, quality coffee and tea (Mem Teas of Boston) may be enjoyed and light breakfasts and lunches are served.  Mad Dog Café features locally roasted coffee, light breakfast fare and wholesome lunches.   The full menu including espresso drinks, fine teas, "hand carved" specialty sandwiches, salads and attitude-changing soups and chowders are now available.

The atmosphere is welcoming, fresh and comfortable.  You will want to linger.  The café's beautiful lighting has been designed and created by our neighbor, Tracy Glover Lighting (59 Blackstone Ave).  A one hundred and fifty year old Maine wagon wheel is the foundation piece of the unique chandelier over the fireplace. The coffee bar was built using re-purposed one hundred year old fir bead board from the original business at our café's site.  The "Director's Room" and kitchen floor was prepared by DaSilva Flooring of Pawtucket (Central Ave). Our logo was created for us by Delin Design of Providence (55 Dorance St).

Yes, the art you see in the café is for sale and was created by one of the more than fifty artists working upstairs at Mad Dog Artist Studios. If you have any questions about Mad Dog Artist Studios... just ask.

Located on the ground floor in the same building as our Mad Dog Artist Studios & Gallery,  Mad Dog Café has a mid-century industrial / contemporary look of dark woods, chrome, galvanized steel, original red brick, highlighted with a fireplace and comfortable seating.  The café has both indoor and outdoor (seasonal deck) seating, plenty of off-street parking (corner of Front Street and Blackstone Ave and behind our building), designated "To Go" pick-up parking spots and wi-fi.

Our goal is to provide this growing art district with a "neighborhood kitchen table and living room".  Our staff is congenial and our food is fresh!  Let's build a neighborhood that we all will feel welcome and "at home" in.

Hours are 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.  Come in and say hi to me as well as Morgan, Maggy and Adreanna!
